David Rainey - Memories of Life

Mr. Rainey was interviewed as part of the North Fork Oral History Project. He discusses his memories of the North Fork area. Topics discussed: childhood in Buffalo Creek (1930s), adulthood in Buffalo Creek (beginning 1958), and neighbors and other residents of the area. He also discussed: railroads, roads, transportation in this area from 1930s on; geography of the area; outdoor recreation in the area; buildings and businesses in and around Buffalo Creek. He also talked about neighboring towns, including Ferndale, Pine, Foxton, and Estabrook. Other topics discussed include: religious services at the chapel in Buffalo Creek and his employment at Colorado Southern Railroad.
